AFUEGA’L PITU P.D.O. CONE-SHAPE RED CHEESE SELECTION

The traditional red cone-shape Afuega’l Pitu PDO cheese is the result of a lactic curd process, the result of which is moulded for 24 hours and drained using gravity.
After this time, this primary product is blended with paprika, which gives it its characteristic orange colour. Next, it is moulded again to finish the curing process in its traditional cone shape.

TASTING NOTES.

VISUAL: At first glance, its orange colour is striking, a consequence of the addition of paprika. Irregular cut tending to split.

OLFACTORY: Slight spicy nuances on a predominantly acid aroma resulting from lactic curd.

GUSTATORY: Intense in flavour, ideal for those who love distinctive flavours in the world of cheeses.
