GAMONÉU DEL VALLE P.D.O. CHEESE SELECTION

Gamoneu cheese is produced in the municipality of Cangas de Onís in the south-east of Asturias, a geographical location renowned for its orography. This Asturian cheese variety is one of the most famous of the Asturias cheeses. The cheese presentation format is a characteristic cylindrical shape that can sometimes weigh up to eight kilos. Made with raw cow, sheep or goat’s milk or a blend of these, the cut of its pieces is irregular with occasional blue/green pigmentation depending on how long it cures.

TASTING NOTES.

On the mouth, the flavour is strong and slightly spicy, with smoky and persistent touches and abundant aftertastes. The flavour is completed with moist and complex aromas.
